E3value is a well-known technique for modeling value networks that abstracts from processes and platform specifics. Although there exist some methodological guidelines for value modeling, no formal properties have been defined so far that could distinguish “good” from “bad” value models. This is sometimes felt as a gap, both in practice and in teaching.
