Welcome to AIS SIGSAND/SIGPrag!!

On June 20th 2022, SIGSAND and SIGPrag will organize a joint workshop called “Conceptual Modelling in the “Digital First” Era — A Joint AIS SIGSAND/SIGPrag Workshop“.

The workshop aims to bring together academic thought-leaders that explore topics on conceptual modeling and the ongoing digitalization of every-day life to exchange ideas and potential answers to questions about the applicability of conceptual modelling in modern, digital, contemporary environments where activities are often performed online and where our experiences are increasingly mediated through digital technology. The goal of the workshop is to bring together the many different areas and perspectives of conceptual modelling scholarship and work together towards a relevant research agenda for the future of conceptual modelling that continues its existing cumulative tradition and accounts for changes in reality and the role that digital systems play within our experiences. The desired outcome is a joint paper detailing the results and research agenda (targeted for an outlet such as Communications of the AIS). All participants will be invited to contribute.

The chairs will also aim to recommend accepted papers to relevant journals and help authors contact editors if needed.

The workshop will be jointly organized by Pär J. Ågerfalk, Uppsala University, Roman Lukyanenko, HEC Montréal, and Jan Recker, University of Hamburg.

View call for papers here.
