The Unified Modeling Language is widely used by system analysts to communicate requirements. This study investigates the presentation of UML models to facilitate understanding by end users. It is argued that improved presentation can improve the value of UML as a communication tool. This paper investigates two aspects of presentation. The first aspect combines relevant details of diagrams into a single model. The second aspect consider the evle of interaction available to the model viewer. An experiment was conducted to test the application of the approach. The results support the use of interactive combined diagrams to facilitate understanding.
