A large-scale postal survey and six in-depth case studies on information architecture practice were carried out from 1992 to 1994 in the UK. The research ®ndings suggest information architecture to be a useful information systems planning tool. The study further rede®nes information architecture’s core components and concludes that the careful targeting and development of these components ± business system architecture, application architecture and data architecture ± can contribute to the effectiveness and ef®ciency of information systems planning and implementation.Read the full paper here: https://journals.sagepub.com/home/jin
