SIGSAND.com – Special Interest Group on Systems Analysis & Design – is a community project which provides a virtual meeting ground for researchers, practitioners and educators in all matters of systems analysis and design.
To join SIGSAND, you have two options:
Option 1: AIS SIGSAND Membership
Become a member of AIS SIGSAND. AIS the Special Interest Group on Systems Analysis & Design of the global Association for Information Systems.
You need to first be a member of the Association for Information Systems.
When you become a new member or renew your membership, please indicate that you want to be a member of the Systems Analysis and Design (SIGSAND) special interest group. See the screenshot below:
Option 2: Member of SIGSAND.com
This option can be selected if you wish to be affiliated with SIGSAND, but do not wish to become an AIS member first.
In this case you can join SIGSAND.com only. To do so, we ask you to join our mailing list (TBA)
Note, if you are already a member of AIS SIGSAND, joining SIGSAND.com ensures that you will be receiving correspondence from SIGSAND irrespective of your AIS SIGSAND membership status. However, if you are an active AIS SIGSAND member at the same time as being a member of SIGSAND.com, you may receive the same correspondence from us twice.
Membership benefits
Being a member of AIS SIGSAND and/or SIGSAND.com provides you with the following benefits:
- Official recognition as a member of one of the oldest and established research communities in the area of information technology, software engineering and information systems.
- Opportunity to enrich your CV, resume or employment file by indicating your engagement with the scientific, pedagogical and professional community of systems analysis and design.
- Notification of SAND-related events, including calls for papers for the AIS SIGSAND Symposium and special issues in the journals. (like you, we hate spam, so do not expect to hear from us often!)
- AIS SIGSAND members receive a 20% discount on conference registration fees for conferences organized by SIGSAND.
- Members of SIGSAND.com, receive a 10% discount on conference registration fees for conferences organized by SIGSAND.
- Both AIS SIGSAND and SIGSAND.com members are eligible for a discount for merchandise and other materials produced by SIGSAND. The discount is determined on a situational basis.
- AIS SIGSAND members (current as well as past) are eligible for the SIGSAND Outstanding Contribution Award.
- Current AIS SIGSAND members are eligible to serve on the AIS SIGSAND Executive Committee.
- AIS SIGSAND and SIGSAND.com members can submit their articles, case studies, textbooks for priority inclusion on sigsand.com! So being a member helps you promote your work within the SAND community!
