How to model spatiotemporal changes is one of the key issues in the researches on spatiotemporal databases. Due to the inefficiency of previous spatiotemporal data models [1, 2], none of them has been widely accepted so far. This paper investigates the types of spatiotemporal changes and the approach to describing spatiotemporal changes.
