This paper contains an outline of a new form of data model with particular focus on the way real-world objects are classified. Concepts such as categorization schemes and designation schemes that are widely used in the real world are made available for conceptual modeling in a new language called CBML. Case material is used to show how this new language can help to reconcile different perceptions of information.
