User stories are commonly used for requirements management in agile development methodologies like Scrum and Extreme Programming (XP). However, many studies emphasize that user stories alone may not be sufficient to accurately elicit the requirements from the users. Using user stories alone may result in misunderstandings and misinterpretations of the requirements, which may lead to user dissatisfaction. In this study we develop a comprehensive framework that may help in comparing and choosing complementary techniques to accompany user stories.
