The importance of user participation or involvement for systems development success is now generally accepted, and rather than further investigating whether user involvement is needed, the research focus is shifting towards determining what form user involvement should take to maximize the benefit to systems development. In this paper, a case study analysis is used to describe the relationships, activities, and processes of user involvement in a successful systems development project.
