To increase productivity, application developers are using tools that allow them to create applications faster. These tools, commonly known as frameworks, allow developers to reuse software artifacts and are claimed to also increase the quality of the applications that are being developed. In this paper we expand the taxonomy of frameworks by analyzing three types of specialized application frameworks: (1) PC-Based; (2) Web-based; and (3) Mobile-based. Our main purpose is to discover the antecedents of the intention of developers to continue using a framework. We also intend to analyze the characteristics of each group of users of specialized frameworks and the commonalities and differences between each group. By doing this, we can better understand one dimension of the success of a framework.
